Now on to a different subject...for the last few years, my top poster collecting priority has been to acquire Coffin Joe movie paper. ?Are there are any Coffin Joe fans here? ?It is very difficult to find anything from his films. ?When you do find something, it thankfully tends to be inexpensive. ?The problem is finding it. Coffin Joe is a Brazilian horror character created by Jose Mojica Marins in the 1960s. ?He made several very low-budget psychedelic horror exploitation films in Brazil during the 60s and 70s before his popularity declined. ?He made a comeback in the 1990s on TV, radio and home video. ?In the 2000s, he finally returned to feature films. ?Worldwide, he is more popular than ever, though in his own country he never quite recaptured his 60s glory days. There are some lobby cards floating around out there, and I'd certainly love to have some, but my main focus is one-sheets. ?I'm especially looking for paper on his first three films: ?"At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul," "This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse," and "The Strange World of Coffin Joe." ?I'm also looking for paper on "Exorcismo Negro," one of his 70s films. I already have one-sheets from the following Coffin Joe movies: ?"Ritual of the Sadists," "Awakening of the Beast," "Strange Hostel of Pleasures," "Hallucinations of a Deranged Mind," "Hellish Flesh," "The Embodiment of Evil." ?My "Awakening" poster is in rough shape, so I could use an upgrade. Does anybody out there even know who I am talking about? ?I hope so!
