Puff The Magic Dragon - happy memories. I would have liked to have said my
sister and I were part of the 60s revolutionary counter-culture, when we
pestered our parents to name the new family cat after the aforementioned
dragon (boy did we sound like a demented steam train when we called it in at
night!). But no, it was simply because we loved the tune as children.
Unfortunately, a few years later things took a serious turn for the worse
when I went out and bought Purple Haze the guinea pig.
OK I made that last part up.
Rest in peace Mary Travers.
