Hi Rich-
I suppose that it is the video shown from the Original Prop Blog that is
what is burned in my mind concerning this whole fiasco. Profiles is the
"face" of the attempted fraud, if you will,at least for me as a collector.
On the video, there was a kind of indirect swipe at Todd F.'s copy and the
price that he has established for the genuine article. It was made to sound
as if his authentic copy languishes on eBay with no interest but this one will
spark quite a bit of interest in the upcoming auction. Well, it has indeed
sparked a lot of interest for sure.
It just seems as though, if one is going to crow and puff up about a "real
find", one MUST issue a public apology to the collecting community who supports
their endeavors. I would think that some of that major change which is gained
through commission fees and buyer's premiums could be used to have a definite
check-out of the material offered. Particularly since it just took the good
efforts of some through a virtual examination via their computers to show this
piece for what it truly is as a great reproduction litho.
