that title was one of best repos I saw.. It was only like two color and yes some people had them folded

a machine fold would not be a biggie... however most people wanted them rolled.... also the saveing Private ryan was 1st double sided repo I ever saw.... as most were one sided/.

what is amazeing was that the repos from UK and Germany and netherlands many were shot off the one sheets leaving the NSS number and Union printer Bug Logos. so to a layman they appear to be real.

what everyone needs to know is that the printers that actually printed to posters to begin with printed extras and so many posters were sold from people within the industry.. including studios, the reason it softened was that many titles became so availible and the market shrunk because people like One stop of ca and Musicland entered into deals to sell " Originals" however many were suspect titles and actually reprints... heck even video posters were being sold as originals because

the searcher John wayne was taken from one of th evideos I was selling... so the bootlegs are bootlegs from bootlegs.. thats why you see so many sizes and styles.

Its a very competitive process. driven now by internet deman and college kids and people with movie rooms. The only problem is the cycle time and longevity of Movie releases... IMHO when we started you would have maybe 3 key releases in a month in theatrical only.... then in like 84 when video became hot they would release on video alos... but the posters wer small and had type all over them.... then around 90-93 they started to release 27 x 40 one sheet size videos that sometimes where the theatrical sheets also and some better art then the one sheets.... even lenticular, banners and more standees. etc....

so the repos where not the only posters that caused confusion......

The good pat is lots of nice images from all over the world... its a great hobby and has been interesting to have been part of... I love the smell of freshly printed movie posters in the Morning........... :)....

I'm sure someone knows the answer to this question. Are there many (or any) 27 x 41 MACHINE FOLDED Repro US 1 Sheets out there? I just got in a one sheet on Scarface (Pacino) that measures 27 x 41 is definitely machine folded---it even has a little bit (not much) of wear along the fold lines. Hey, I'm as aware as anyone that this title has been repro'd up the gazoo--- I have no reason to believe this may be a repro. I've always thought it was difficult to replicate the folds when it's been MACHINE FOLDED instead of folded by hand. I'm not an expert on repros, so if someone could offer some insight into this it will not only be useful to me but I'm sure it will be useful as well to many other members of MoPo.
