I sometimes wonder how many people out there actually prefer the traditional
27x41 1-sheets to the 30x40.
In my mind, the 30x40 (and for that matter every other size) is preferable to
the 27x41 in every way. It is rolled, thicker stock, gives more room for
framing options. The fragile stock, and especially the factory folds, of the
pre-1990's 1-sheets are deal-breakers for me. Even if it's linen-backed, in the
back of mind I know that it was once folded and therefore "damaged" in my mind.
Unfortunate that the 30x40's were printed in such fewer quantities.
