heloo... hers my beef... Just came back from downtown.......
Tonight they had the one night traveling tour Of Star wars with Anthony
Daniels narration,
and with the London Philharmonic and props... and a Big screen with Film
Footage and extras...
Tickets weere priced at like 35 , 55 and 75 each..... so I told my son
well.... thats too high but lets go see if we can get a deal.
went there and they only had sold like 1000-2000 of 8000 seat arena....
I asked some guys I knew that were
stage hands hey can we get a comp ticket or any people have some they
want to discount.... they said No we didnt even get any,,,
But the ahows not even sodl Out I said... whats the deal...? so I asked
for Boxoffice manager I said Ill pay 20 each Now... they said we can
not do it we are under strict rules...
I said Look My Kid Love star wars and would Love to see it.. we are Just
not flush with dough!! Hello can we ssay recession!!!
Toledo is BLUE Collar as 90% work in either auto industry or Glass
industry........ so I said wouldnt it make sense to get something vs
NOTHING????
they said it took 14 semis of gear and all the costs.... I said well I
dont see anyone asking even for discount tickets but my son and I as we
were the LOne people... and I said if we wont come up with the bux
Imagine all
the others that do not hold Star wars so important in thier Life,,,,
anyways.... My son said Its ok Dad it was Nice just talking to teh stage
hands and seeing the behind scenes and watching Dad try to get some
tickets at a deal..... so we were stsrteing to freeeze as we were
outside.. so we went had a cooffee and Left.. Total cost Parking 7.00
Coffee 2 with tip 5.00 being with son and not succumbing to
overpriced A Star wars Concert Tickets..._ PRICELESS
memo To LUCASFILM and George LUCAS!!! Whoever is Promoting this Tour....
I would suggest you offer all tickets at 25-35 and offer familys 100 for
up to 6 this would be perfect for Chritsmas gifts
if the price was better!
You would fill the stadiums and the Star wars franchise would be secure,
Its disheartening to be sodll these high price tickets in this
economy.. also I would Offer a slice of Tickest as apparently these are
not selling to the less
fortunante like Childrens Homes- YOU could get a tax write Off as a
Donation and it would help BOTTOM Line costs... It would create " GOOD
will" with Fan's and You would give back to the people that BUILT the
damn Interest- the Fans - Many that cant pay there exspences and are
suffering!!!! loss of work etc...
personally, I thought this was one of the Most wastefull projects and
such atmosphere of Greed involved I had to leave I was so taken back..
!!!! thansk!!! what a sad state when there were like 5000 empty
seats!!!! why not allow
people to BId on the seats start at 1.00 because if thers no interest
and no money why bother to tour this Fiasco!!! talk about bad
planning.... here we weer we would have loved to see it but just couldnt
justify 110.00 for two tickets.. and it appears no one else could Tooo!!!!!
there is definately a DIstrurbance In the FORCE!!!!!!!! LUCAS ???
even the boxoffice guy said he told them Lower the prices!!! damn this
is simple
very very disappointed in Toledo Star wars Dad and Son ! -may a
tribe of ewoks get drunk and puke on
your cat! Thanks
My Kid liked the movie so much and collected so much he was featured in
the newspaper , on the TV news.. as he was 1st in line at the
re-release,,, he made a R2d2.. ( working )took me to NYC and Denver
celebration to the conventions... and more very heavy collector..
so......... oh well.
