Just a quick heads up on our latest set of auctions added last night, 666
programs, heralds, sheet music, and miscellaneous items.

If you've ever dreamed of having any *ONE* original release item from the
very best movies, like *Casablanca*, *Wizard of Oz*, *Snow White*, etc, but
thought you'd never be able to because of price, you are *wrong*! This
current set of auctions includes just about *ALL* the very best titles, and
because they are programs or heralds or sheet music or whatever instead of
posters or lobby cards, they cost a fraction of what those items cost, but
they are still really cool!

Take just one example of many: A few months ago I sold the first release
Danish poster from *Flying Down to Rio* with really striking completely
different art by Erik Frederiksen for around $4,000. Last night I added the
original Danish program, with the exact same art on the cover, and it is
currently $4! Or you can get two different sheet musics from *Flying Down to
Rio*, with a great image of Astaire and Rogers, and they are both currently
one dollar!

*About the Heralds, Program Books, and Sheet Music We Are Currently
Auctioning*
Many collectors are not aware of heralds which are basically tiny
posters that were given away to theaters to entice people into that
theater. Others are not aware of program books, which were either given
away to those who bought a ticket, or more often, were sold as souvenirs in
theater lobbies, and others are not aware of sheet music that was created
for the popular songs of almost every movie from 1915 on. Program books are
usually filled with images (sometimes color) that are sometimes not seen
anywhere else, and lots of them have much written information about the
movies. Sheet music often has a cool image on the front, sometimes one not
used in other advertising.
All three of these types of items often provide one of the absolute
most affordable ways of getting an original first release item from titles
that otherwise sell for "out of this world" prices! Note that all of these
items we are auctioning this week come from longtime collectors, and
included in those collections are some extremely rare titles, and many of
the items are in really excellent condition (they were either never used, or
were used once and then carefully stored away). If you spent years and
years looking for these items, you probably would not be able to find all of
the ones offered in this single set of auctions!

*About the 30 Unusual Promotional Items at the Start of Our Items*
At the beginning of this auction are some rare mini window cards and
other unusual promotional items (30 in all). While items like these were
made for virtually every movie from the 1910s to the 1960s, very, very few
of them survive (likely because they are unusual shapes and sizes, and not
nearly as many theaters ordered them as ordered regular posters and lobby
cards). We almost never are consigned items like these, and we know they
are very under-appreciated and under-valued!
