Gumby was a great animation piece...! I had a few on 16mm and watched them.
In the 80's I discovered a warehouse full of GUMBY costomes for the
bendable doll, There wer like 4 costumes
made in 1965 from Lakeside toy company,,, The Guy the owned the
warehouse laughed at me as I paid
20 cents each for severl 1000 of the costumes.. see.. at the time ther
were NO gumby dolls to go with the costumes..... so I sold them to
people just as a collectable.,,,, Ther were also GUMBITYs a samml
version Of the Gumby..
well a Company in San dimas California that supplied me Mugs saw the
items and had them remade off my
vintage peieces... and also a compamy called JRSCO re-issued the dolls
and they fit the costumes I found perfect...
So it was a treat to be part Of the Gumby renniassaince in a small way...
There was a astronaut, a cowboy, a Knight and a Fireman costume... They
were in Original shipping Boxes and also ther was a banner that went
with them for display and also a sort of counter window card.....
Do I have any left... I dont think so.. I gave me son some... I do have
some unopened displays For ET candy from Hershys that have die cut ET
headeres from 1982 that where used in theatre Lobbies to promote the
reeces peices.... Its amazeing the history of POP culture has had on
things in last 75 years,

An icon of my generation. I had a Gumby attached to the headlight of
my Schwinn Stingray bicycle I peddled to school..........yeesh I've
gotten old, most kids today don't know who Gumby is or peddle to school.
