I don't need to tell any of you that week in and week out I auction hundreds
of items that sell for low, low prices. But Thursday night's 500 rolled
(either unfolded or formerly folded) 27" x 41" one-sheet*s** * (closing
tonight, on the 21st of January, starting in just 13 hours!) represent *
REALLY* incredible values, and that includes a lot of desirable titles!
With just 13 hours to go, the 500 one-sheets include 100 that are still at
$1 each, a surprising 224 that are still at $3 each or under, and an absurd
313 are still at $6 each or under!
*THIS JUST GOES TO SHOW HOW VERY "AFFORDABLE" OUR HOBBY REMAINS, ONCE YOU
GET PAST THE ULTRA EXPENSIVE TITLES SO MANY COLLECTORS FIXATE ON!
*
*About the Originality of Rolled One-Sheets**
*Many collectors would like to add posters from their favorite movies of
the 1980s onward to their collection, but they rightfully are afraid they
will be sold commercial posters (or reproductions or bootlegs), rather than
actual posters either used in theaters or intended for theater use. *WHEN
YOU BUY FROM US THIS WEEK, YOU HAVE A GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL BE BUYING A
GENUINE ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTERS! *This is because almost all of these
posters come to us either from theater owners, or from advanced collectors
(often ones who purchased the posters right when the movies first came out),
people who know how to distinguish an original poster, and also, we here at
eMoviePoster very carefully scrutinize every poster to make 100% certain it
is genuine! But you don't have to take our word for it! *If you purchase
any poster this week, and you have the slightest doubts about its
originality after you receive it, it is fine for you to return it for a full
refund within 7 days of receipt* (but we virtually never get a single poster
returned, because we reject any poster that is consigned to us if we have
the slightest doubts about it!).
Note that we only included 27" x 41" one-sheets in this auction! Prior
to the late 1970s, 27" x 41" one-sheets were virtually never found unfolded,
but sometime in the late 1970s many poster exchanges started sending posters
to theaters either completely unfolded or tri-folded, and over the course of
the 1980s, this became the standard and it become rare to see a fully folded
poster. Then, sometime in the mid to late 1980s studios began printing
their posters in a 27" x 40" format (it was a gradual change, and it was
apparently done because they developed the ability to print posters with a
"full bleed", meaning there were no white borders anymore). We *DO *also
auction those "newer" 27" x 40" posters (which are almost all from after
1990), but we do that in a completely separate auction from this one. *EVERY
ONE-SHEET POSTER IN THIS AUCTION MEASURES 27" X 41", UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED*
.**
Look at these examples of current great buys (and these are truly just a few
of many, many, incredible bargains, at *EVERY* price level!):
*RAIN MAN int'l 1sh '88 Tom Cruise & autistic Dustin Hoffman, directed by
Barry Levinson!** *"very good" condition, currently *FOUR DOLLARS!
HEAVY METAL int'l style B 1sh '81 classic musical animation, best Richard
Corben fantasy art!** *"very good" condition, currently *FIVE **DOLLARS!*
*GODZILLA 1985 1sh '84 Gojira, Toho, like never before, great monster close
up!** *"very good to fine" condition, currently *SIX DOLLARS!*

Richard Hescox!** *"very good" condition, currently *SIX DOLLARS!**
**SHOCK TREATMENT 1sh '64 you actually see a man subjected to electroshock
treatments! *"very good to fine" condition, currently *SIX **DOLLARS!*
Note that some auction houses treat their buyers as if it is Halloween
all year long, except they play many "tricks" on them, and give them very
few "treats"! They *SAY* their auctions are "$1 no reserve", but actually
they are "$15 no reserve" when take into account their minimum $14 buyers
premium. They *SAY* many of their items are in excellent condition ("very
fine to fine minus"?), but all too often the buyer receives an item that is
in far lesser condition than they said, and they even trick you with the
images, using "stock images" or "enhanced images". Worst of all, some use
"house bidders" who seem to have a spooky ability to bid just under the
amount the real bidders were bidding!
*But in eMoviePoster.com auctions, "$1 no reserve" means just that*, and
every week we sell lots and lots of items for just $1, $2, or $3! And every
item is honestly described, with a super-sized unenhanced image of every
item. And every item is truly sold, and to the highest bid placed by real
bidders!
*AND WHEN WE SAY "VERY GOOD" CONDITION, WE MEAN A CONDITION THAT YOU
WILL BE HAPPY TO RECEIVE!*
This week, we are auctioning over 1,450 items in our Tuesday, Thursday,
and Sunday auctions, and it is virtually a certainty that some percentage of
them will sell for "bargain" prices, and there may be some absolute
"steals", and because we have such a *HUGE* selection, *you can easily find
extra items to add to your order and not pay any extra U.S. shipping, and
that can be a huge savings!* Remember that, unlike the majority of
"hobbies", where the money you spend on your hobby is gone forever, the
money you spend buying movie paper will almost certainly be recovered the
day you ever sell your collection (and many, many collectors have made lots
of money on their collection over time, because unlike stocks, vintage movie
paper continually rises over time!).
Of course, once you get *OVER* just $6, you start hitting lots and lots of
"better" titles, but an awful lot of those are currently at
*VERY*reasonable prices, far under what some of them have sold for in
the past
(the ones we can find any record of selling in the past!) including:
