It's an unfortunate but inevitable aspect of doing business on Ebay... but, actually, it's truly amazing you managed to go a full 12 years without getting hit by several of these dumb newbie screw-ups. I got two within my first two years of selling on Ebay -- and I offered a no-questions-asked refund policy stated clearly in every auction description! But that didn't stop a couple of idiots from posting a baseless negative without even talking to me first.

Just wanted to mention a BAD experience I had with a buyer named
    Mario Quant who buys under
    GoldWings08   After answering dozens of questions from this
    guy,(who knows very little about movie posters and is obviously
    new to the hobby), he finally bid on one of my posters and won the
    auction---a $50 to $75 one sheet at a whopping $19.99!!  Well,
    needless to say, GoldWings08 wasn't COMPLETELY satisfied with the
    poster upon arrival---so...instead of following eBay's rules and
    contacting the seller (me) to try and work out whatever problem
    there might be, he IMMEDIATELY gave me a NEGATIVE FEEDBACK!  If
    he'd emailed me with a complaint, I would have refunded ALL of his
    money and told him to keep the damned poster!
    This is the ONLY WAY I'VE EVER gotten a negative feedback.  When a
    buyer immediately forgoes all lines of communication (apparently
    the very thing eBay instructs buyers NOT to do)---and issues a
    Negative Feedback,,,without contacting me by email, phone or
otherwise even ONCE. So, I just wanted to put out a warning to all about
    GoldWings08   Hey, this type of situation an happen to anybody.
    You can have a 100% Positive Feedback Rating through 12 years of
    eBay and some dumb-ass
    like GoldWings08 can take it away in a New York minute...
