*About the ** collection of glass slides we are auctioning this Sunday*
Since we started the Sunday auctions, we have been auctioning an
amazing collection of glass slides, but the ones we are auctioning this week
are the most amazing of all! They are all the kind that have black tape
around the edges, rather than cardboard holders, and they include many of
the earliest glass slides we have ever seen, including a group of Paramount
ones that go back to 1914, and are from before Paramount Pictures was a
studio, and was simply "the Paramount Program"! Also included are two
incredible slides from two of John Barrymore's earliest great successes,
Sherlock Holmes, and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (when have you ever seen any
original items from either of these movies, except in mega-auctions, and
they sell for mega-dollars)!
