There was a stream about craft-backing of posters which made me wonder
about some alternate form of preservation I've encountered. Some of the
WW1 posters that I own were backed on a kind of wax paper and then the
wax paper backing was mounted on cardboard. I've had a few of these
removed from the backing and linen-backed. I have never seen this style
of preservation before. Has anyone else encountered it? FRANC
