Week in and week out we auction hundreds of items that sell for low, low
prices. Our* current Sunday items (*262 glass slides, magazines, exhibitor
magazines, presskits, German programs, vintage stills from great horror
movies, and bulk lots) closing *TODAY*, March 7th, comprises our *VERY
BEST*"regular" Sunday auction to date, and yet it includes lots of
excellent
items still at low, low prices!
*If YOU have never discovered the great values offered by these uncommon
movie collectibles, it is not too late to start! Many of them sell for FAR
less than posters or lobby cards from the same titles, and some of them are
from titles you virtually NEVER see at all! There are LOTS of wonderful
items in these auctions you will likely not see any time soon, so you should
surely check them out, even if solely to "window shop"!*
If you have the slightest interest in these sizes, I *STRONGLY* urge you to
check out the Sunday items closing in just 11 hours, even if just to "window
shop", because they include *LOTS* of great titles, ones you have surely
never seen before!
How great are the current values? Well, these are ending in just 11 hours,
and they include 61 that are still at $1 each *(including a LOT OF 18 MODERN
SCREEN MAGAZINES from '73 & '74, filled with stories about Liz, Natalie,
Barbra, Burt, Jackie O + more, WHICH IS STILL $1 FOR ALL18 movie magazines!)
*, 83 at $3 each or under, and 127 at $5 each or under! And there are lots
of great items in these "bottom 127" items!
Of course, once you get *OVER* just $5 (and remember that you can never ever
get an item for less than $15 from our competitors with their *INSANE* $14
buyers premiums!), you start hitting lots and lots of "better" titles, but
an awful lot of those are currently at *VERY* reasonable prices, far under
what some of them have sold for in the past, including:

Note that some auction houses treat their buyers as if it is Halloween
all year long, except they play many "tricks" on them, and give them very
few "treats"! They *SAY* their auctions are "$1 no reserve", but actually
they are "$15 no reserve" when take into account their minimum $14 buyers
premium. They *SAY* many of their items are in excellent condition, but all
too often the buyer receives an item that is in far lesser condition than
they said, and they even trick you with the images, using "stock images" or
"enhanced images". Worst of all, some use "house bidders" who seem to have
a *spooky* ability to bid just under the amount the real bidders were
bidding!
But in eMoviePoster.com auctions, "$1 no reserve" means just that, and
every week we sell lots and lots of items for just $1, $2, or $3! And every
item is honestly described, with a super-sized unenhanced image of every
item. And every item is truly sold, and to the highest bid placed by real
bidders!
This week, we are auctioning *over 1,700 lots *in our Tuesday, Thursday,
and Sunday auctions, and it is virtually a certainty that some percentage of
them will sell for "bargain" prices, and there may be some absolute
"steals", and because we have such a *HUGE* selection, you can easily find
extra items to add to your order and not pay any extra U.S. shipping, and
that can be a huge savings! Remember that, unlike the majority of "hobbies",
where the money you spend on your hobby is gone forever, the money you spend
buying movie paper will almost certainly be recovered the day you ever sell
your collection (and many, many collectors have made lots of money on their
collection over time, because unlike stocks, vintage movie paper continually
rises over time!).
And if you are one of the 6,000+ in our e-mail club, you get our 9
Vintage Hollywood Posters books with the purchase of any ten items from any
of our three sets of auctions, and you get all of our 17 in print books with
the purchase of any fifteen items from any of our three sets of auctions. *YOU
CAN PURCHASE OUR 10 (or 15) LEAST EXPENSIVE ITEMS AND THEN SELL THE BOOKS ON
EBAY FOR WAY MORE THAN YOU PAID FOR EVERYTHING (as many dealers have proven
over and over)!*
*About the ** exhibitor magazines we are auctioning this Sunday*
Since we started the Sunday auctions, we have been auctioning amazing
collections of glass slides, movie magazines, presskits, and German
programs. This week, we add a new kind of collectible to our Sunday
auctions! These are exhibitor magazines, which, unlike movie magazines,
were *SOLELY* sent to theater owners, which makes them far more rare than
regular movie magazines.
Included in the exhibitor magazines we are auctioning are some
ultra-rare Box Office magazines ("The Pulse of the Motion Picture
Industry"), Box Office is the foremost magazine purchased by theater owners
(from 1932 until the present day). In the 1910s and 1920s, there were lots
of similar magazines, and theater owners would subscribe to them so that
they could keep up with the latest releases, decide which ones to book for
their theater, and also see ads for current movies plus ads for accessories
that theater owners needed. Each issue is filled with lots of information on
then-current movies, including how much they were taking in (because that
was the information of most interest to theater owners).
Box Office was first published in 1932, and in 1933, they got the novel
idea of publishing seven different editions! Starting in May of 1933, there
were six different editions for different regions of the country, and one
was the "executive" edition, which included all the material from the
regional editions. The different editions had mostly the same advertising,
but the interior information referred to theaters in that part of the
country. By the 1950s, Box Office had become the number one exhibitor
magazine, and one by one, all of its rivals ceased publication. Box Office
is still published today and is still subscribed to by theaters all over the
country!
We are also auctioning some exhibitor magazines of other titles that
were published by the same people who published Box Office. All of these
magazines are in remarkable condition, and they are very rarely offered for
sale (especially the very early issues of Box Office)! We have been
consigned a fairly large collection of exhibitor magazines, and we will
begin adding them to our Sunday auctions, as time permits.
*AS OF THIS WRITING, WITH JUST 11 HOURS TO GO, MANY OF THESE REALLY
COOL EXHIBITOR MAGAZINES (all of which are in wonderful condition) ARE STILL
AT JUST A FEW DOLLARS EACH, EVEN SOME WITH INCREDIBLE ADS!*
*About the German Filmpost Programms we are auctioning this Sunday*
Since we started the Sunday auctions, we have been auctioning an
amazing collection of German programs, but the ones we are auctioning this
week are a different type than the ones we have been auctioning, and these
are called * "Filmpost Programm"*. This program was published in Germany
solely from immediately after World War II, in 1945 (before Germany was
separated into two parts, and at the time when there were a huge number of
U.S. troops there), and apparently ceased publication in 1949, and it
appears that one of these were created for many movies that played in
Germany during those years (perhaps just ones that played in theaters for
G.I.s)! We do not think that these programs were used at "regular" German
theaters, and in fact, we think that these showings pre-date the official
German release of many of these movies (which occurred after West Germany
was created).
They all measure 5" x 10 1/4" when tri-folded (as it was intended), and
they contain 6 "pages", and when unfolded they measure 10 1/4" x 15", with
information and images on both sides, and all are a single color. They often
have montages of photographic images, some of which do not seem to appear on
any U.S. advertising. They are apparently quite scarce, especially on
"better" titles, and represent an affordable way to purchase an original
release item from a specific movie.
The collector who assembled these Filmpost Programms was able to find
approximately half of the ones that were created, and they all date from
1945 to 1949. We divided them into *TWO* groups, and last week we auctioned
the later ones, the ones from 1947 to 1949, and *THIS* week we auction the
ones from 1945 to 1947, and then there are no more of these remarkable
"programms"!
*AS OF THIS WRITING, WITH JUST 11 HOURS TO GO, MANY OF THESE REALLY
COOL FILMPOST PROGRAMMS ARE STILL AT JUST A DOLLAR OR TWO EACH!*
Got to *http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html* to view them, but you
only have 11 hours left to do so, because they start ending at 3 PM CST *THIS
AFTERNOON (NOT this evening!)!*
