I think it's more of an attempt to get genre films recognized by the Academy. Of those 2 young people who introduced the films, Taylor Lautner is a rising star. He has taken his work seriously by training hard in his voice, acting and his body. He is professional and grateful for every opportunity he is getting. Also he is easy on the eyes. Go team Jacob!
