my understanding has always been that he was not asked to have his
footage included in the film.
In other words, it was used as stock footage without his consent.
Another way to say it is "he did not create any special effects for
the film, he was not in any way connected to the film & Columbia did
not credit his work that was used in the film"
next time I see Ray, I will ask what any result was "after the fact"
once he discovered the footage was swiped
to say this is a Harryhausen film in any sense is ridiculous

Didnt someone else already post that Harryhausen didnt get credit
for his work on this movie?
And just because he wasnt credited--and he did some of the flying
saucer FX--then he had part in creating visuals for the film.
As far as 27th Day being a "Harryhausen film," like SINBAD or CLASH
OF THE TITANS-- well, of course it isn't. But for those that may
want any materials that Harryhausen worked on, it makes sense to
list it this way.

contrary to other posts, some footage from scenes of the flying

I don't think Harryhausen got any credit
furthermore, I doubt anyone with a brain would consider 27th Day to
be any kind of Ray Harryhausen film

Did I miss a memo? How was Harryhausen involved in the 27TH DAY?
