Here's a perfect example of how a seller hasn't done his homework on a
title card he's selling---in this case supposedly an "original" 1936 film
starring Cary Grant titled THE AMAZING QUEST. For those new to the hobby, as
soon as you see the production company "Astor", it should throw up a red
flag. Probably 80 to 90 percent of "Astor" material is reissue material
dating back to the early 40's. The title of this film is actually THE AMAZING
QUEST OF ERNEST BLISS, released in 1936 through Empire Films.
To most observers--and perhaps to the seller--this appears to be an
original 1936 US Title Card. Hey, it sure looks old enough. I'll give the
seller the benefit of the doubt, but I believe it was his responsibility to
research this film PRIOR to listing the title card as being original.
Just an example of how easy it is to get "taken" in this hobby (whether
the seller is a knowing participant or not).
                      Rick
