Gosh, this proved to be a livelier than expected jaunt down memory lane.
Prompted me to look at some old archived emails that I’d kept on disk. Even
found my original MOPO subscription from 1998 – longer ago than I realized,
though I was a serial lurker for several years and left and came back due
to the demands of my job at that time. Then as now, there were complaints
about ebay, bad buyers, bad sellers, repro discussions and even the
uncovering of a fake Dracula in 2000. Not everything changes. And yes, that
‘revenge
’ link posted by Eugene Hughes is indelibly seared in my memory too.
