10x8 color trannies for use in higher end colour magazines were not uncommon form this period and earlier. Ditto 5x4 trannies. In some instances, the 10x8s were used to created blow-up pictures mfor for exhibitor FoH display use.
Their value rests with the subject matter.
In this case - with TOPAZ being considerably down the Hitchcock canon, shots featuring Hitchcock, solo or with the main actors are going to have considerably more value than lesser stars. The tag you illustrate was what was sent along to be used as the caption info for the shots publication in the magazine.

As time went on even 5x4s were replaced by 35mm colour trannies for colour press use, and today it is pretty much all now digital imagery used for publication.

I have 6 x 4 drawer file cabinets full of 35mm/5x4 and 10x8 colour trannies accumulated over 35 years. There are some great shots that have never seen the light of publication, and many poster key art trannies, and key art element trannies.

They have a value... but like all such things, only to the people who are interested in them. They can be utilised, of course, but as time goes by they become much more interesting as artifacts of film publicity.

I'd love to see the rest of the TOPAZ shots.

Subject: [MOPO] Topaz Transparencies

Hi, I've found a collection of Hitchcock stills. Among the stills there's this set of 16 colour transparencies/slides from Topaz. They measure 8x10 inches and all have an accompanying text. I've seen one of these things before, but have no idea what they are for. Anyone any idea? Where they used for magazines maybe or something? Also interesting ofcourse is whether they are rare or have any value.

Here's an example with a text.
