Maybe the writer simply can't write. It says: "For four decades film historian Ira M. Resnick has been amassing a superb collection of 2,000 vintage movie posters and 1,500 stills, which has never before been published..." That means that THE COLLECTION (as a whole) has never been published. If they had meant that the posters and stills themselves, apart from the collection, had never been published, they would have said, "..which HAVE never before been published."
