NOCTURNE is really something of a forgotten one. I got the rather lovely daybill in acollection, and it mad me want to track down the film. Definitely offbeat, and the usually too-strident Raft is very good in it.
Worth checking it out if you haven't seen it. It best captures the cinematography involved in making a great noir. Some poster I love such as Detour and Gun Crazy didn't make the list because they are bright and a bit cartoony.
