I'm 58. I took the early retirement incentive offered by the State of
Connecticut in July of 2009. I'm too young to retire from working but it was
an
offer that was just too good to pass up. I have been looking for a job since
then with no luck until recently. I was offered a salesman job by PC Richard
and
Son last month so, I took it. Even though its about 56 hours a week (I had
worked 35 hours a week for the State of Connecticut) and paid only by
commission, its the only job offer I have had in a year. I have an IT
background
but no job offers for any IT jobs. But, I do have an interview (really a second
interview) Wednesday for an IT position with another company so I hope I get
that - only 37.5 hours a week.

Howdy y'all,

I'm at the speed limit ... 55 ... (but I am 'the oldest rat in the barn' where
I
work, go figger).
