Hell, I saw Steve Miller OPEN for the Dead in '92 at Soldier Field two nights 
in a row... both sets were completely different... they jammed!

Clueless on Darkness Darkness, but that doesn't mean anything

I can't imagine liking the Dead and not liking Steve Miller in almost any 
incarnation. 
 
Speaking of great guitar players, anyone here remember  a double album by Phil 
Upchurch called DARKNESS, DARKNESS, or am I misremembering something?
