Scott Burns needs to boot this guy off the MOPO list unless
'j...@cinepost' gets his auto-responder act together, like, right *now*.
It's obvious this joe doesn't have a clue to running his email program
or proper etiquette when joining a listserve like MOPO. It is *joe's*
reponsiblity to put the MOPO server address on his "approved" list, not
ours. This is a guy who apparently has never belonged to a mail
listserve group before (or learned to use his anti-spam program).
Beyond this list, this type of auto-responder is considered rude,
old-hat, and technically non-sophisticated. It's been a long time since
I received one of these, most people realized it prevents far more valid
communication than it does stop spam. Joe needs to stop his system from
doing this by learning how to use the anti-spam program his email
account is working with (or just disable spam filtering altogether if he
does not want to bother to learn how to properly use it).
Or else this 'j...@cinepost' only joined this list to harvest valid email
addresses for spam purpose, which is essentially what happens if you use
his 'confirmation' link below, you are telling him that the address you
use to receive MOPO messages is a valid email address.
No one should use his 'confirmation' link for this reason -- and 'joe'
either needs to knock this off or get the heck outa here.
