I think this has more to do with the size of the hobby than anything else. If there were more than a few thousand active collectors, there would surely be buyers for posters like these.
Right now, there is an imbalance in the hobby, with more items for sale than there are buyers. This creates lots of buying opportunities, except among those dealers who choose to "wait things out" and not lower their prices (which is absolutely their right to do!). I am 100% certain that a few years from now collectors will look back at this time as a golden buying opportunity (even if some prices fall even further).
