If you would like to experience the look and feel of cinema in your home, I
have a deal for you. This is a theatrical projector, and all the goodies
you need to bring that experience to you. There is nothing like watching an
actual film in your home. This is the real thing. Although not for
everyone, there are many collectors out there who do collect these films,
and have set-up in there home. It does not take as much space as you would
think.
Anyway if you have any interest all the information is below. If you are
not familiar with the process, threading projector, etc., I could show you
in a few hours all you needed to know to get started. There is a good
market if you want to sell the excess, I can get you all information,
contacts, etc. This is a very addictive hobby, just don't have time to go
further at the moment.
After much consideration I am selling out everything I have in the way of
35mm. This will include:
Christie - Xenolite model CFD20 lamp house
Century Simplex projector
(I am not into the technical end of everything, this is a good old, solid
piece of equipment I have had for many years, with no problem at all. I
bought it from Keith Flaa and I think it was serviced by John Eickoff). I
know it is a workhorse machine, that will probably outlast all of us if ran
daily.
Features - dozens of features, some duplicates, no rarities here but some
nice films to go through. There are some Alligator prints, GWTW (mag/op
turning), some drive-in films, some lesser films, have not been through all
of them. These comprised several packages bought over the years. Some came
from an exchange in Oklahoma City, some from a collector in Dallas, some
from Reno, some from other sources.
Cartoons/shorts/odd reels - there some nice ones that are spliced on 2000'
reels that I have never unwound. There are a couple of shorts, and lots of
odd reels, I think some being Technicolor.
Trailers - TONS-hundreds, likely into thousand+, some mounted on nice 2000'
reels. No real old titles or rarities, but lots of good solid titles, with
many being unused.
Reels, extras - lots of large metal reels, some 2000' etc. Whatever I dig up
at the time.
I don't want to oversell this deal. I have not gone through all the prints,
that is part of the reason I am selling, time. I am not saying that this is
the deal of a lifetime, but a good solid deal for a long time or new
collector.
I live in East Texas (120 miles east of Dallas), everything would have to be
picked up by the buyer. If you have serious inquiries please let me know and
I will try to answer.
Price: $7,500. (or would consider trade for quality movie paper).
