Hello Folks - My son Tommy has completed a feature film ( shot in mini DV)
and its going to be premired at the Ottawa tavern on Nov14,2010 for two
screenings

facebook of the alter ego of actor Salmi Joe
For you techies it was done on panasonic a dvx100 b mini dv camera and
editie in final cut pro.. It has lots of cgi effects and sound foley and
more..
What te story is about is a Salami salesman named Joe is being
haarassed by a Local Pizza vendor wh wants the secret familr recipe of
the sausage when its discovered Joe is a ancient
decendent of warrors that fight space aliens and evil... The aliens come
back and havoc ensues and Joe ends up saving the planet...
Tommys 80;s filmmaker inspirations are very evident and he pays homage
to them in the treatments,,, I see ghostbustre, close encounters, Evil
Dead,Star wars, Back to the future,
and all the comedies of that time in the film..
the music is part canned and part original.. its about 60 mins long so
not a 90 full fature but not a short either.
The shots are done well lighting and color look good... and its just a
funny project as the actor Paul Best has a animated rubbery face,, he
also came up with teh character Salami Joe.
What impressed me is the two Paul and Tommy have a great respect for
each other and share the limelight and try to help eac other,, Paaul
does the website design and tommy the filmmmaking and editeing and music
and direction..
Anyways after the premire the full featuer wil be availible im sure for
download and all.
They have soem clever promo liek a personal Mustashe premium and shirts
and the poster art is pretty interesting..
Im sure you guys will get a kick out of it as you have basically watch

hes 23 now. so he was liek 9-10 when I started on Mopo
Its funny as I have been thinking about peopel amking films.. and I can
see how its a tough Biz ,,, especially when it gets no responce but for
some reason, peopel Love the title and theem.. I said GUYs I am almost a
vegan whats this about sauge!!!! and they call it beluga in the film I
said wait is tat Not a whale??? yep... but they just are trying to eb
funny..
and its amost as funny how this film is like ed wood meets santa
claus... I think its genuine
and tats why its working as they cant make up stuff like this.....
So now Im handing out flyers at starbucks and local coffee shops to
peopel and saying yes... come to a bar and see salami Joe ,,, and its
interesting to see the reation on their faces like Yes maybe Ill go
there... because nothing else makes sense currently why not see Salmi
Joes and call it a day..... I plan to hit the malls and even go to
peoplel door to door if need be,,,
Things a proud papa will do for the kid..
so any mopoers that want to come... hey just seeing a film in Toledo is
avante garde enough ehh? and to see one by Tom Martin my son ... well
this could be the start of something.. who the heck knows// and worse
case ,, you can also see the reaction on peopels faces liek I will after
they see it... that is PRICELESS
