weekends are slow here, and i thought some PRIVATE responses i received to
this post on Sunday is worthy of discussion

would you consider the following a "defect" or a "flaw":
a theatre using or RE-using a poster when it is re-released and using the
red stamp in the NSS corner indicating the film's RE-release NSS number.
obviously, or at least it seems to me, these posters were in a warehouse,
and then stamped with the re-lease info once the film was re-released.
(i just obtained some dupes, where a few have this red stamp, BEYOND A
REASONABLE DOUBT, DEATH OF A SCOUNDREL & CRIME IN THE STREETS.
i do not consider a RED STUDIO STAMP a defect, and seek your thoughts....
(would it be different if the re-lease info was printed by hand with a
pencil?)
legitimate, honest sellers have described this as with words similar to the
following: "this is the original poster for the 1956 release and, also,
used in conjunction with the re-release in 1965, as per the red stamp."
