*Now that our December 2010 Mini/Major Auction is over, we offer LOTS of
great inexpensive items this week!**
* We just sold over a quarter of a million dollars of expensive movie
paper in our *December 2010 Mini/Major Auction*, and we realize that some of
you may need a while to "reload" after this blockbuster event, so this week
we offer 2,500 lots of mostly very affordable items, include lots of them
which will likely sell for between one and five dollars each!
Since you only pay one U.S. shipping charge no matter how many items
you win, shouldn't you be looking over these items and seeing what bargains
you can pick up (especially since you will get 19 bonus books just for
buying 20 items in one set of auctions)?
*STARTING THIS AFTERNOON (the 12th) WE RESUME OUR "REGULAR" SUNDAY AUCTIONS
(but with some differences)!
* For most of 2010 we had a regular Sunday "line-up" of movie magazines,
German programs, glass slides, scripts, and bulk lots, and we auctions
around 50 of each each week. These were from some pretty remarkable
collections that were consigned to us. The past couple of months we took a
break from these "regular" Sunday auctions, because we had lots of other
items to auction, and we made our Sunday items resemble our Tuesday and
Thursday items.
Now, however, our regular Sunday items are back, but with a difference. We
have auctioned just about all of the glass slides we were consigned, and a
large portion of the movie magazines and German programs. So in our new
"line-up", we have replaced those items with some new collections we have
been consigned, namely Danish programs, soundtrack CDs, pressbooks, and
autographed repro photos (we previously auctioned some of these items in our
"miscellaneous" Tuesday & Thursday auctions, but now we will solely be
auctioning those items on Sundays.
So this week we have a selection of bulk lots, signed repros, Danish
programs, soundtrack CDs, scripts, and pressbooks. In future weeks we will
bring back the remainder of the movie magazines, exhibitor magazines, and
German programs we still have left, and of course, at any time we might be
consigned a new collection of some other type of item that can join our
Sunday line-up!

*Our December 2010 Mini/Major Auction had an incredible selection of
posters (1,471 items in all, which auctioned for a total of $248,675),
covering all years, genres, and sizes and was run in four parts:*
- *Part I (COMPLETED! $86,802 in sales):* 364 linenbacked posters of all
sizes and countries
- *Part II (COMPLETED! $65,541 in sales):* 207 "rolled" posters plus 58
folded one-sheets
- *Part III (COMPLETED! $52,334 in sales):* 146 "oversized" flat posters
of all sizes and countries

photolobbies, & a great collection of scene lobby cards

lack of any reserves or buyers premiums, honest condition grading, and
unenhanced super-sized images!*
All four parts of the auction had strong results (especially surprising in
the face of The Great Recession, and given that another auction held just
before ours had lackluster results, including a world record "pass"), with
many quality items selling for high prices!
But there were also lots of bargains and a few real "steals", and we gave
away over $10,000 in great bonuses, including hundreds of t-shirts (at
right). Look for our next mini/major auction in the Spring of 2011!

It is hard to believe it has only been two years since we started our
own auctions, because we can hardly remember all the headaches we had when
we auctioned through that "other" online site! It took us a surprisingly
short time to get "settled" in our new location, and once we saw how much
better our auctions were running our own auctions, we have grown from month
to month, both in terms of the number of items we auction each week, and in
terms of the number of registered bidders, which keeps on growing each week,
as word of all we offer (and just as important, all the sleazy things we *
DON'T* offer, which distinguishes us from most other major auctions) spreads
to the few remaining serious movie paper collectors who have not yet
registered with us!
We already have * $3,203,637* in sales in 2010, and it proves that an
honestly run auction absolutely *CAN* get just as good (or better) results
than those who use shady business practices! It seems extremely likely that
we will break our total sales results for 2009 (which were $3,302,423.00,
our record sales year ever)! We expect our business to grow and prosper as
more and more collectors realize that we are a "fake free" zone, where you
can buy with an assurance that you are getting what you expect to, that you
will not be cheated while bidding (or before, during, or after the sale!),
and that we not only package incredibly, but we also give all of our
customers fantastic customer service, before, during and after *EVERY* sale!
