this is an interesting topic and it would be good to find out what the truth is as, otherwise, Heritage could be accused of embroidering or lying about the items that they have for sale. Maybe Grey can tell us what the due diligence was that went into the claim "they include Marilyn Monroe, who was not in the film, but was on the set as a prank." How did she manage to be on set? What was the nature of this prank? Who was the intended victim? Where has this prank been recorded? And does this information come from a reliable source? Over to you, Grey......

There is no mention of her being involved in the film in IMDB. As there is a notation in the Heritage auction that she appeared in card 3 and 6, maybe Grey Smith could give us some more information on whether there is actually a record of this or if it is just anecdotal. I always heard that Marilyn Monroe appeared in one of the lobby cards. Recently, I acquired 6 lobby cards from that film, one of which (card # 3) is a song-and-dance sequence with Russell and another brunette in the foreground---behind them are 4 men in tuxedos and cowboy hats and a dozen beautiful women, one of whom I'm certain is Marilyn Monroe. Why don't we hear more mention of "the Marilym Monroe 'French Line' lobby card"? I would think it would be quite collectable. Can anyone offer any insight into this?
