I have gotten use to looking for the secure link lock before I sign into anything and upon looking, I saw the URL wasn't even to Ebay but some weird link, so I figured it must be a scam to get you to sign in and divulge your password. As I said to Freeman, you're so sidetracked by the riduculousness of the email and the loan "request", your knee jerk response is to click the link and see what they are looking to buy from you. So, there's a lot of clever ruses out there, hope nobody got sucked into this one.
