*More** BIG news this week: We have expanded the size of eMoviePoster.com's
physical location by around 33%*
Last week we reported the big news that we had finally put our all new
* Auction History Archive<http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/archive.html>
* online for testing (see below). This week brings more big news, which is
that we have expanded the size of eMoviePoster.com's physical location by
around 25%. How did this happen? As many of you know, for ten years I have
owned an entire city block in the heart of downtown West Plains. For that
entire time, I have rented approximately one quarter of that space to the
local cable company. Over those ten years both of our businesses have grown
to where we were both practically bursting at the seams.
The cable company finally reached the point where they needed much
larger quarters, so they have moved out, and it came at a very opportune
time, for that allows us to take over all of their space and increase our
physical location by around 33%. We will be re-arranging several parts of
our operation so as to make everything more efficient, and to utilize the
new space in the best possible way.
Not only were we overflowing in our present area, but we also have had
a huge *FLOOD* of new consignments the past few months. Some of these have
been from collectors (many of whom have expressed disenchantment with the
treatment they received from other auction houses) and some of them have
been from dealers (many of whom seem to have partially or completely given
up on selling their items themselves, because eBay has grown so greedy that
it hardly makes sense to list there anymore, and more and more dealers are
discovering that they can get the same or more from consigning to us as
selling themselves (while doing no work at all). Others solely use us to
move their unwanted inventory (to free up cash and space for new
acquisitions).
But of course we auction items *SO* rapidly that we always need new
consignments, so please keep them coming! We have streamlined and improved
every aspect of our business over the past few years that we now auction
items far more quickly than ever, even when we are sent thousands of items
at a time.
What's next for eMoviePoster.com? The only thing stopping us from
expanding even more (in terms of the size of our overall operation) is more
quality employees. We have the best staff in West Plains, and I don't want
to compromise on that in the least, so I won't hire anyone new unless I have
the strong sense they will be on a par with our existing employees (and I
doubt any of you would want me to feel any differently about this).
Unfortunately, the nature of our business requires that our employees are
physically present each day, or we would likely be quickly able to hire more
people (greater West Plains has only around 20,000 people).

*Even more** BIG News: We have expanded the size of ** our March Non-US &
Non-Movie Mini/Major Auction from two parts to four parts!*
The deadline for this set of auctions has now passed (unless you have
just a few exceptional items, in which case we *MIGHT* be able to squeeze
them in). We received so many truly excellent items that we had to first
expand this to three parts and then again to four parts (which will start on
March 29th, March 31st, April 3rd, and April 5th).
Next week we will give you a few previews of what will be in these
auctions. So many so called major auctions have a huge "round up the usual
suspects" look and feel to them, trotting out the exact same posters over
and over (and one wonders if many of them ever really sold on some or all of
their many previous trips to the auction block).
But in our mini/major auctions you will see *LOTS* of posters we have
never had before, and when you do see a "repeated" item, it is rarely the
exact same item returning to the auction block (this only happens when an
item is never paid for or when the high bidder re-consigns the item, but
those are truly rare occurrences in our auctions.
Prepare to be dazzled by the *FOUR* parts of our *March Non-US &
Non-Movie Mini/Major Auction *and start saving your money now (but remember
that this is one major auction where there is no "For Millionaires Only"
sign at the door, and that we have *NO* buyers premiums (20% or otherwise)
and that we give a great bonus t-shirt to *EVERY* buyer in this set of
auctions).
