Nothing nefarious being suggested here, because it's apparent that Nate's
Autographs has a higher clientele - but I always find it interesting to see how
two sellers present the exact same pricey item to the auction market. We're
talking big dollars here and the only thing I can think of is Nate is trying to
"flip Gilda" and avoid absorbing a loss
(hence the aborted sale for "just" $17,500 last week), despite the ugly brown
tape on the back that he doesn't show in his
own sale. Some high rollers are known to take $$$ losses after owning something
valuable for a short time, and, seeing no recourse for a refund,
immediately put it back on the market. I don't think that's the case here.
However, I also think it's significant that
for an heirloom poster like this, Nate chooses to show close-ups of the bottom
border but - while he DOES use words to describe the defects and tape - he
chooses NOT to show pictures of the back like the original seller of this
poster did back in January here:

Another thing that's weird: if we presume the winning bidder (Nate's) BUYS
from a different eBay account then he SELLS - it's worth noting the feedback
counts of the winner in January do not match those of Nate's in the CURRENT
sale. This Gilda is still worth a lot of $$$ because I don't see paper loss,
just an overall raggedness, a big scratch down Hayworth's dress, some slight
fading and more browning than the excellent condition example on linen Bruce
sold a few months ago for more than $25K. I have always had a long-term
interest in the fortunes of this poster, which I once owned in my collection.
Here are all of the images of this poster collected from both sales.

REVISED WITH LIVE LINK.

There's something strange going on with that sale. Last week, the seller
"apparently" accepted a "best offer" for $17,500. That offer WAS accepted.
Either the buyer got cold feet or the seller had second thoughts. At any rate,
that sale (original link below), was for the same poster, and it "closed" eight
days ago (Feb. 26), and now, as Jay pointed out, it's back.
