i emailed him several years ago, asking for a better image (watermark
included) of his TRIP TO THE MOON poster. I simply said that, for
that kind of asking price, a better image was the least he could
provide. (i knew that he was concerned about someone taking the
image, if it was a hi res scan which i wasnt asking for). I got a
terse and rather abrupt answer, basically asking and saying that "if
i had the money, something could be arranged."
it was all very odd to say the least.

what i WOULD like to see is the full image of the A Trip To The
Moon poster (US $565,000.00) that has also been on ebay since
around the film's original release in 1914.
i think i remember a MOPOer posting that they tried to arrange to
meet mrs.miniver to view a print of this poster, but was put off by
the absurd amount of skulduggery and intrigue involved in achieving
this.
still, when a poster is so competitively priced, surely it sells
itself.....
