I think it is interesting to note that in the article Phillip just referenced, that of the 11 posters Rega sent in, only two were determined to be fakes - and then later the Dracula. Does this mean Profiles happily sold 8 other posters that this fraudster sent to them?

Can't really blame him for sending a fake-worked on Dracula poster to Profiles for auction, they had already sold a couple of other fake re-restored Dracula posters so why not another?

The only information I ever saw about legal action were various reports similar to the following
http://www.courthousenews.com/2010/02/10/24563.htm

the status of that suit or any subsequent suits, settlements or other actions are unknown to me. Perhaps others have more current info.

I believe so

Was the Dracula ever reported to the authorities?

When I think of it, I have read a lot about the shenanigans of Haggard here and there but hardly anything about that Dracula poster since it was discovered to be a fake (or rather an altered lithographic reproduction).

Rega (or some close spelling) which may or may not be something of a slight alias, but Sue Heim of Hollywood Poster Frames I believe knows him and Diane Jeffrey of Studio-C originally backed it for the perp, but included incorrect border information supplied to her so people would know the poster was not real. John Davis of Poster Mountain who subsequently worked on it to correct the incorrect data did not however notice the fraudulent piece, for which he was widely derided
