Those measurements for an original Amadeus are correct, give or take 1/8" to 
1/4" on the WIDTH and LENGTH of the poster.  I owned the pre-Oscar version of 
Amadeus for years.  Orion and Tri-Star routinely pulled the same routine during 
the late 1980s, experimenting with poster sizes.  1989's "Glory" is another 
example of a poster with dimensions smaller than 27 x 40 or 27 x 41.  Doug 
Taylor will likely have the same info because "Amadeus" won the Oscar for Best 
Picture in 1984 and owns almost every one-sheet in his famous "Best Picture" 
poster collection. -d.
