These negs were used to make blowups which were  out sized lobby
displays for first  run theaters in major cities. The photo images
were the 60s version of what had been airbrushed lobby art. I worked
at Fox during this period and we usually had the large lobby displays
printed in Italy, but everything was different with Cleopatra since
the company had 35 million dollars and the entire future of the
company riding on it. Luckily it broke even and Fox got bailed out by
Sound of Music....just as Dr. Dolittle and Star ran the company  to
the edge of bankruptcy and a throwaway comedy named M.A.S.H. saved
our butts.  rudy
