I just found this link; http://www.albany.com/thingstodo/day-trips/old-forge/
There was (and still is) a Strand Theater that operates there: "Old Forge is a little town with a huge appreciation for the arts. Movies, anyone? The old-fashioned Strand Theater originally opened its doors in 1923 with a single screen and silent movie reels. Today it continues operating with four screens, and an antique camera and movie projector collection that provides a rare and nostalgic glimpse into the early days of movies and television." At least the seller didnt just make up some theater out of thin air.. how obvious would that be. -KL On Thu, Sep 8, 2011 at 1:59 PM, Jeffrey Meyer <[email protected]> wrote: > Where in upstate NY.
