>star wars props are cool... the ships where originally made with
many parts from old plastic model kits like tanks and cars and more .
the mellinium falcon
which we were able to see several times even has a decal of Champion
spark plug ( which is a Toledo company from here) the propmakers put
it on asa inside joke..

Steven Sansweet who works at lucasfilm.. did several great books
showing many of the inside prop secrets..
we met two guys last night at the Ghostbuster movie re-release that
had screen
identical made backpacks made verbatim .. its cool as these
ghostbusters do events to raise money for charities, i thought itwas
a great idea and they had some excellent props.
There are many people into the whol prop collector arena..
My son likes to make his own interpetation of theitems however he is
pretty close on the whole thing as i saw the film and was able to
refresh my memory.
whatscool is when you can do somthing you love and make it sponsor
itself. because he enjoys the whole process.

Did you know the 1966 Batmobile was made from a car that Ford
prototyped called teh FUTURAby George barris? It was made in Italy by
Giha then they soldthe failed car to Barris for like 10K an the rest
is history. there is a guy in Indiana recreating them for 100k and
they look great. www.fiberglassfreaks.
OH and dont Forget my son has movie posters on his walls of his prop
shop so hes into all the memorabilia. :)
