too bad that fight doesn't properly represent the way it was done in the book and what the coupe-de-grace was to end it

I know the thread here about best fight scenes in movies is somewhat tongue in cheek....but I think no one can argue that the above linked fight scene is the best in any film ever...

This never happened to the other fella.

Awesomely bad. Should only be seen on vhs. Best editing/continuity ever...

I sent the previous clip to a serious documentary filmmaker friend. His
response: "Really got going once the broken armed Tranny arrived".

Peter

the guy who labeled that clip is so totally wrong

the best fight sequence ever is from Jim Van Bebber's "Deadbeat at Dawn"
(1988)
one of the smallest money productions ever made.
Jim and crew used loads of abandoned lots and warehouses in Dayton to
shoot the film during the time I was living in the area.
it's a very enjoyable movie. Jim told me that they never got any
permits to shoot and that if a cop came by they would just go to
another location and keep shooting. I think he told me that the film
cost about $1200 to produce. I had him as a guest at one of my
Cincinnati Comicons that I used to run and somewhere I still have the
vhs tape he gave me

here is the climactic sequence
