Gas is heavy, so your car will get better gas mileage with less weight (only filling to half a tank). But the gas will have more room to evaporate into that half of a tank. I've heard that filling up in the morning is best when it is cooler. My two cents. It is recommended that we DO remain filled up or close to it at certain times of the year. Otherwise, gasoline evaporates in the tank do to excessive heat in summertime. Which is the correct method??
