I'm about the same... about 500 laserdiscs and 2 working players. I still occasionally transfer stuff. Recently transferred one of my favorite concert videos ever - Georg Solti conducting the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, playing Pictures at an Exhibition. I don't think it's ever come out on DVD. Three copies are listed on VHS on Amazon, from $20 to $35 http://amzn.com/6302352983 and the LD is certainly much better than the VHS! So even though most LDs aren't worth much - I've thrown bunches of them in the trash - some are still worth something, whether to yourself or others.
