*Our last set of "REGULAR" Sunday auctions ends on the 15th & our new set
of Sunday auctions that starts on the 15th has 495 Japanese B2 posters!*
A couple of years ago we were consigned incredible collections of movie
magazines and exhibitor magazines, and the very last of these are in the
auctions closing this Sunday (and we saved some of the very best ones for
last!).
Also, we have a cool collection of Austrian programs (we are at the
end of the German programs), plus there are many non-U.S. movie magazines
(including a great collection with Audrey Hepburn covers), plus there are
some great non-U.S. movie-related books, some "older" pressbooks, plus
much, much more! You'll be kicking yourself if you miss bidding in this
final set of our "regular Sunday auctions!
*What will replace these? *Well, first starting on the 15th, we have a
special auction of solely Japanese B2 posters (the standard Japanese poster
size), the very first time we have ever auctioned this size solely on its
own.
*Why? *Because we have been consigned a really excellent collection of
Japanese posters (mostly B2s, but also including other sizes)! We will be
auctioning this collection over this coming year, and in this set of
auctions, we are auctioning the first of the many B2s from this collection
(but bear in mind that there are very few duplicates, so for the vast
majority of these cool posters you will only get one chance at them!).
Are you one of the few collectors who have not yet discovered the
wonderful movie posters from Japan? If so, we urge you to carefully look
at this great collection, and consider adding at least one to your
collection. Most Japanese posters have completely different images from
those printed in the U.S., and they are often superior to the corresponding
U.S. poster. *WARNING!* Once you buy a few of these, you are in danger of
becoming "hooked", and you may find you need to keep purchasing them on a
regular basis. If this happens to you, don't say we didn't warn you!
*Then what? *The rest of the Japanese posters from this remarkable
collection will be auctioned in our rolled non-U.S. auctions (usually held
around once a month) and also in our auctions of half-sheets and Japanese
B2s.
What about Sunday auctions? On April 22nd and 29th we will have Parts
I and IV of our Spring 2012 Mini/Major Auction. You will not believe how
great the four parts of this auction is!
But then, starting on May 6th we will have an auction of around 800
rolled 27x41 and 27x40 one-sheets, and that auction will last for
*TWO*weeks, ending on May 20th.
As those auctions end, on May 20th, we will add around 999
"miscellaneous" items, and those auctions will include the small amounts of
items we used to auction in our "regular" Sunday auctions, plus any other
items that don't fit into our regular Tuesday and Thursday auctions, and
those auctions will also last for *TWO* weeks, ending on June 3rd!
Then every two Sundays we will alternate between those two types of
auctions, each running for two weeks. This means we will be able to auction
rolled 27x41 and 27x40 one-sheets every month (and on a regular schedule,
and it also means we should be able to auction "miscellaneous" items soon
after we receive them (because we will have a large auction of them every
month).
And of course, if either or both of these auctions are well received,
we could start running either for one week only and have *TWO* sets of
either every month!
