Lest we forget -- this is a movie POSTER mailing list!

Its a rare treat when a great film gets paired with a great poster, and I think
that they did pretty well in 1982. Alvin (2), Casaro, Amsel, Peak AND
Struzan, Not to mention the iconic image of Poltergiest.

All I can say is wow.

Agreed. Blade Runner is certainly a biggie for me and the others, except ET,
were also-rans in comparison.

I say no.first off many of those mentioned are remakes or a sequel - meaning
nothing truly original..so that aside I see only 2 or 3 movies that would make
the true list for 1982.

Blade Runner, ET, and stretching here with poltergeist.with Blade runner
probably the truest original thought of the bunch (and probably my favorite sci
fi flick). Some could argue for Tron but to be that was more about special
effects than story. To be listed I think you need both. So do three movies
make a killer year? Can you name another year that has more than three..or
would year say 1968 make this for just one movie - that being 2001? Or 77 for
star wars b/c it defined a genre going forward? Or can you give it to 82 for
blade runner alone?
