Great testimonial, Bruce, and a nice gesture from you and one of your new
consignors. It's always a good feeling for employees to know their efforts are
appreciated. -d.

Subject: Feedback from a VERY happy Fall Mini/Major Auction consignor!
To: [email protected]

I always suggest that those who have never consigned to us consider sending us
a "test" package of consignments, so they can see exactly how the process
works, the results they receive, and exactly what makes us so different from
all other auctions. A couple of months ago a new consignor (a collector of high
quality items) did just that with a group of items for our Fall Mini/Major
Auction, and here is the message he just sent us:

"Hello to Bruce, Angie and the rest of the gang at eMoviePoster.com!

First of all thanks for delivering again on such a bang up auction in
September. I consigned 29 "Test" pieces that were auctioned for a total of
about $5,000. Great job and thank you much for handling all the 'real work'. I
really appreciate everything!

I would like you to accept $100 from my consignment total to treat all
your employees to some pizza. I had an epiphany the other day that your crew
are the greatest stewards of historical artifacts and they make it possible for
so many important pieces of our culture to make it safely to the their
respective new homes. The least I can do is offer them some lunch, so please
accept $100 out of my consignment total for this.

Again thank you for everything!"

I replied as follows:
"Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback! Obviously it is great to
hear
this, and also to be able to share what you wrote with the employees. On the
pizza,
that is a wonderful offer, but I already get a commission from you, so I am
going to go ahead and do this, but instead take the money from the commissions
we got
from you, and not have you pay any extra. But I will still tell the employees
it
came from you, because without you, it would not have happened! Plus,
they probably eat pizza all the time (because there is every imaginable pizza
chain here). But we have a really great local bakery run by
a woman who bakes everything herself, so instead of pizza, I went there and
ordered some really incredible cupcakes for this coming Monday at lunch time,
and I will
give them out to the employees then, and also show them what you wrote. Thank
you very much!"

If any of YOU reading this have not consigned to us, and have some "better"
items you might consider auctioning, know that our next major auction is at the
beginning of December, and the deadline for
consigning will be the beginning of November. Just like the Fall Mini/Major
Auction, it will have both backed and unbacked posters of all types, and also a
selection of prime lobby cards. And maybe it will be YOU getting results you
are so happy with that YOU want to offer to buy our employees a special treat!
