Howdy y'all, I received a question to one of my listings; copied (sic) from my ebay answer page (except for name withheld)
Link to the listing: http://search.ebay.com//140872669163 If the link is inoperable, please check listings under seller id: charlotte5999 As you know a much better poster has been sold by bruce for less. The conditionof your poster is really poor and is in dire need of backing and restoration which most likrly will be in the $400 and up range. A price between $200 and $250 would appear fair . Considering the current market and economy coupled with the numerous listings my questio to you is......do you really wantto sell the poster? Would you be agreeable? (name withheld) on mopo. You can reply there. I withheld the name for obvious reasons, name will be unavailable unless permission granted or the author comes forward. After checking the auction results at emovieposter.com, I noticed that Bruce has sold only one R57 poster ... $430 in 2008 To answer the questions raised: 1. Yes, I really want to sell the poster. 2. I am agreeable (mostly), ask anyone who has ever bought from me (or check my ebay feedback history). But, I regretfully decline the apparent offer of $200-$250. Okay, poster descriptions are an exercise in semantics, whether you are positioned as buyer / seller / interested bystander. Depending on your angle, the poster is in really poor ... serviceable ... "good for it's age" ... very good ... (insert your own). This poster is one of a kind (actually 2), in that the poster has a written address and postage stamps on reverse ... yeah, that's right, mailed naked, so to speak. It is the only poster I have ever seen in 40+ years of collecting ... that has apparently been mailed with no protection; that is, until I came across another poster: Creature Walks Among Us, which btw ... is in another current auction. Both posters would absolutely benefit from restoration / backing, but ... those stamps keep reminding me of another era. (My era, I'm getting old) Soooo ... what do y'all think ... am I asking too much for a derelict poster (actually 2) that has gone thru some tough times and postage stamps? ad Visit the MoPo Mailing List Web Site at www.filmfan.com ___________________________________________________________________ How to UNSUBSCRIBE from the MoPo Mailing List Send a message addressed to: [email protected] In the BODY of your message type: SIGNOFF MOPO-L The author of this message is solely responsible for its content.
