*I JUST LOOKED OVER THE** 757 SIGNED ITEMS** ENDING TONIGHT, AND I SAW LOTS AN**D LOTS OF REALLY WILDLY UNDER-PRICED ITEMS (there are perhaps 10% that are fairly priced, but the other 90% are filled with super-low prices!). THE ONLY THING I CAN FIGURE IS THAT SOME PEOPLE ARE WAITING FOR THE LAST FEW MINUTES OR HOURS TO BID THERE IS NO WAY TO KNOW IF THIS WILL HAPPEN, AND IF PRICES STAY WHERE THEY ARE, THEN TRULY, THIS IS A TIME FOR ABSOLUTE STEALS (and remember that EVERY item was personally autographed)!
*What makes *THIS *set of signed auctions so remarkable is the inclusion of *FORTY FIVE* signed letters and contracts from the estate of famed Hollywood agent Paul Kohner,, who had a remarkable life! Kohner was born in Czechoslovakia in 1902, and he was a journalist working at his father's newspaper. He came to Hollywood after interviewing Carl Laemmle, who gave him a job as a publicity man. He became the head of Universal's European department in Berlin, and returned to the U.S. in the early 1930s, and left Universal in 1938, becoming a publicity agent. Among his clients were some of the greatest film stars ever, including Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman, and also great directors such as John Huston and Billy Wilder. He had close personal friendships with many of his clients, and he saved every bit of correspondence and paper work from his agency! He was married to actress Lupita Tovar from 1932 until his death in 1988. Amazingly, after his death, few institutions showed interest in his immense files, and only a small amount ended up being saved, with a lot literally thrown away! Our consignor purchased the item offered here from Mr. Kohner's estate in 1989, and he has held it until now, when he has consigned 45 items from Mr. Kohner's estate to eMoviePoster.com ...and the other 712 auctions includes lots more great signed items including a choice selection of posters and lobby cards, but you really must look over all the items yourself! Three times *EVERY *week we auction hundreds of items that sell for low, low prices (we actually sell lots and lots of items for $1 and $2, and around half of all that we auction goes for $14 and under). But Tuesday night's *757 *personally autographed items of all types and sizes, closing tonight, on *TUESDAY **February 12th*, represent *REALLY* incredible values, and yet many of these are currently languishing at low, low, prices!
