Hello folks.. found a interesting piece today... a 1948 Toledo
newspaper that billed the model as Marilyn Monroe in a bathing suit..
Its Marilyn and she was Blonde not like Norma Jean.. so this has to
be the earliest piece I ever saw with her name and blonde hair..
Conover did the Yank magazine stuff in same period.
She did the Tom Kelly nude calender I think as Norma Jean that was
used in Dec 53 issue Vol 1 #1 Playboy..But this is cool as it is
dated May 1948 Peach section of Toledo Blade...does anyone have a
data on when she became Marilyn? I can send a JPEG
Its a great piece of history..:)
