> Today I was looking at some material I have and found a large roto
gravure section of the Burlington call from Burlington colorado from
1923 for a showing of CB demilles " adams Rib" with anna Nielsson
and others.. I wondered why there seems to be a lack of interest in
the silent stars lately in pop culture like Valentino, theda Bara,
and many others. in mainstream pop culture.. ? as these peopel set
the benchmarks for the entire industry IMHO... when I see 20s
material I am amazed at the depth of promotion and details of the
cinematography and how it prepped the 30s and 40s. . anyone else see
the decline of interest? I find the early material from early 1900's
so fasinating and enjoyable to see yet To watch silent films always
waas rather hard for me and I prefer sound pictures... to think Kong
was made in 1933 and to me still holds up as strong story and
entertainment is what movie magic was and always has been..
