Yet another great time meeting up with wonderful old friends. Alas
there is never enough time but to those who couldn't make it...you
missed some memories.
To those who I love thanks again.
To all those who chewed the fat over all and sundry...it was great.
I am sure all of us are relieved to see those who have had misfortune
and are looking well.
As for the event...well a mixed bag...there were a few wow factors
around...including Italian original art and some classic items. Is it
me or was the attendance down? The auction was not as powerful as last
year yet the pass rate was lower than in the past and a mixed bag of
lots with some surprising interest.
Bargains were had not only in the auction but also between the dealers
and punters.
The hotel is another year older and looking a little worse for wear. It
has it's own charm...which can kindly be described as quaintly aged.
Many of us snatched a moment in the bar which is sadly lacking in
atmosphere and needs a lift from the 1980's. However there was no pussy
footing around with the bar man as we indulged in good conversation
none of us hiding our viewpoints on what was available at the event.
Again it was truly memorable. See you next time.
