A few weeks ago, we announced an upgraded auction template (see * this
article <http://www.emovieposter.com/tips_archive.php?id=579>*). This week
we want to announce further improvements to this new look (you may have
already noticed these changes as they began with the current *Tuesday
auctions <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/13.html> *and* Thursday
auctions <http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html>*). Our goal with
these changes was to streamline the auctions, making it easier to get to
the details you want to see and faster to get to the bid box (no more long
scrolling to the bottom of the page!). In many cases, these changes mean
all the main auction details will appear on a single screen!

Below is an image that shows *BEFORE* and *AFTER* examples of auctions that
illustrate these changes. The "X"s in the "before" half of the image at
left indicate the areas where we have *REMOVED* information (don't worry;
the information has only been re-located!). The numbers & arrows in the
"after" half at right indicate areas to where that information was
re-located. Now we will explain what has been changed by number (of course,
the numbers in the following text correspond to the numbers in the below
image).

1) We moved the cost of shipping details to the top of the auctions.

2) We now include the "overall condition grade" at the top of the auctions
for a quick "snapshot" of the item's grade. You can click a "Details" link
that will show you the full condition description which is still located
near the bottom of the auction description. We made *NO* change to how we
condition items, and we will continue providing detailed condition
descriptions as always.

3) You'll note that we removed our old buttons for "Large" and "Supersize
images". In the new format, you can see the "Large" image by clicking on
the thumbnail at the top of the auction. You can see the Supersize image by
clicking the button to the right of the thumbnail that is labeled "Take a
Closer Look: View Supersize Image". *NOTE*: The thumbnail image becomes a
slideshow of images when there are more than one for an auction.
* A very important note about the thumbnail/slideshow:* The
"slideshow" image programming code is third party code provided by our
auction software provider (meaning it is used by all of *THEIR* clients)
and we are their only client with super-sized images. This means the short
answer is, we aren't able to make it function with the super-sized at this
time (and this is why we provide a button to view the Supersize image). We *
DO* intend to pursue this improvement, and it is awaiting its turn in the
production schedule.

4) We have always provided an "info" page for each set of auctions that
describes overall details about the set of auctions. We moved that link to
be a button which is now displayed to the lower right of the thumbnail
where it reads "About This Set of Auctions". *NOTE*: If you've never looked
at this page before, you should check one out *
HERE<http://www.emovieposter.com/auctions/special.php?id=20130725>
*(this one is for the *Thursday
auctions<http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/14.html>
* that close Thursday, August 1st) as it provides details like a
description of any special collections we are offering, a charge of what is
being offered, and general shipping notes for the items in the auction.

5) We moved the bid box up so that it comes immediately after the details
for that particular auction.

We realize the text in the below examples is very tiny and hard to read, so
we recommend you view a current auction (such as * this
one<http://auctions.emovieposter.com/Bidding.taf?_function=detail&Auction_uid1=3052205>
*) to see these changes "in real life".

Our goal in making these many changes was to get *YOU* (the bidder) as much
of the most important information you want to see (the image, the
condition, the shipping cost, and links to the details of the condition and
the supersized image) as close to the top of the screen as possible. We
know full well how hard it can be to view 1,000 auctions at one time, and
we feel certain the above changes will make it far easier for everyone to
do so!
